“Most people want to stay in their own homes as they get older. My job is to make that possible—finding practical solutions to everyday challenges so people can remain safe, independent, and living life on their own terms.”

Jo is a dedicated occupational therapist who has spent the majority of her two-decade career working with older adults. She covers a wide area across Dorset, from Blandford Forum and Wimborne through to Bournemouth, Poole, and Ringwood, bringing her passion for elderly care to families throughout the region.

Broad Clinical Experience

Having qualified nearly 20 years ago, Jo has gained extensive experience across diverse clinical settings including orthopaedics, stroke and neuro rehabilitation, elderly rehabilitation, and falls prevention. This breadth of experience means she can address the complex, multi-factorial challenges that older adults often face.

Long-Term Conditions Expertise

Jo spent significant time working within a long-term conditions community team, developing particular expertise in supporting people to manage chronic health conditions in their own homes. She understands that many of her clients are living with multiple conditions, and she’s skilled at finding solutions that work within those constraints.

Passion for Elderly Care

The majority of Jo’s career has been dedicated to working with older people, and she is passionately committed to offering the best possible service for those who wish to remain safe and active in their own homes. She believes that with the right support and adaptations, most people can continue living independently far longer than they might think.

Practical Solutions

Jo excels at identifying practical solutions—whether that’s recommending equipment, suggesting home modifications, teaching new techniques for daily tasks, or working with family carers to develop sustainable support strategies. Her focus is always on what’s achievable and what will make the biggest difference to quality of life.
