“After exploring careers in archaeology and bookselling, I found my calling in physiotherapy. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone regain their independence and get back to doing the things they love.”
Naomi is one of the most experienced physiotherapists on the Medella team, with over two decades of NHS experience—primarily supporting people in their own homes. She covers a wide area from Salisbury through to Bournemouth, making her a familiar and trusted face across Hampshire and Dorset.
Neurological Specialism
Throughout her career, Naomi has focused on neurological conditions. She has extensive experience helping people with strokes, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Her calm, experienced approach helps clients and their families navigate what can be frightening diagnoses.
Falls Prevention & Vestibular Rehabilitation
Naomi also specialises in falls prevention and vestibular rehabilitation—helping people who experience dizziness or balance problems that put them at risk of falling. Many of her clients have complex frailty, where multiple factors contribute to their mobility difficulties. Naomi’s skill lies in unpicking these factors and addressing each one.
A Unique Career Path
Naomi’s journey into physiotherapy came after exploring careers in archaeology and bookselling. This unconventional path gives her a broader perspective than many clinicians—she understands that health is just one part of a full life, and her goal is always to help people get back to doing the things that matter to them.
Local Knowledge
Having worked in the local area since 2001, Naomi has deep knowledge of NHS and social services across Hampshire and Dorset. She knows which services are available, how to access them, and who to contact when her clients need additional support. This network is invaluable for families trying to coordinate care for a loved one.
